That’s why we created our Community Wellness Alliance Team (CWAT), a testament to our commitment to fostering a workplace where employees’ holistic well-being, passions, and growth take center stage. Promoting Holistic Well-Being
CWAT isn’t just part of our organizational structure; it's a manifestation that true success lies not only in professional achievements but also in the collective well-being of our team. By promoting well-being and tying it to a larger cause through various initiatives, we tap into our employees’ dedication and passion while some get to enjoy their hobbies on the job!
Step into Summer: Employees were encouraged to walk or run 75+ miles during dedicated workouts over the summer. If they fulfilled the goal by the last day of the season, HyBridge donated $75+ per person, depending on the miles achieved, to the American Heart Association. Not only did this encourage employees to stay active, but it also brought us together to give back to our community. As a result, we ended up donating $2,025 as a team!
National Cancer Prevention Month: To raise awareness and show support for those who have bravely fought or are currently fighting cancer, the HyBridge team united by wearing a color that represented a type of cancer that has touched our lives. In addition, we gladly matched the donations of our team members who chose to give back to the American Cancer Society.
Nurturing Passion and Fulfillment
We take pride in having a culture of care and continuous improvement. Through regular check-ins and anonymous surveys, we solicit feedback from our team members to gauge what they would like to see from us in the future and what they feel passionate about. Harnessing this feedback allows CWAT to create specialized initiatives for each month of the year. Let’s dive into just a few!
Food Drive: For the winter holiday season, we made it our priority to give back to those in need of a nourishing meal. Through a virtual fundraiser with Feeding America and other match-back opportunities for donating or volunteering at a local food bank, we successfully raised $4,500 for our communities and felt closer as a team in doing so.
Valentine’s Day eCards: This past Valentine's Day, employees had the heartwarming opportunity to send uplifting eCards filled with messages of love and support to the strong and incredible children at St. Jude Children’s Hospital, spreading joy and compassion beyond our community.
Building a Community
While we all do a great job giving back to our local communities, we also want to give back to each other as a team. As a remote team with employees located throughout the United States, fostering a community is especially important to us. Through CWAT, we aim to create a supportive environment where team members can connect, share experiences, and build lasting relationships beyond the limits of their work roles. By nurturing this sense of community, we strengthen our bonds and enhance our overall well-being.
Employee Appreciation Day: This past Employee Appreciation Day, we wanted our team to have the chance to give back to each other. To foster this recognition and camaraderie within our team, employees were encouraged to send virtual appreciation cards to each other throughout the week.
Volunteering Time: Our organization puts an emphasis on taking time to unplug from work. Our Responsible Time Off (RTO) policy empowers employees to take necessary breaks for rest, travel, or whatever it is they like to do, allowing them to refresh and recharge. We actively encourage our team members to utilize this policy to volunteer with organizations that resonate with them. Whether it’s lending a hand at humane societies, supporting local schools, or assisting at food pantries, our employees can pursue their passion for volunteering and making a difference in their local communities.
